Low-Cost & Free Mental Health Services
At Umeed, we believe mental health support should never be out of reach. That’s why we offer low-cost counselling, low-cost assessments, and free sessions for international students.
How It Works
Low-Cost Counselling: $115 per session with a provisional psychologist or counsellor.
Low-Cost Assessments: Affordable ADHD, Autism, and psychoeducational assessments with provisional psychologists under supervision, keeping costs lower while ensuring quality and care.
Free Sessions (International Students Only): Through our Connect International initiative, international students can access up to 10 free sessions, fully funded by the Umeed Community Care Fund and our community partners.
Where the Money Goes
Every dollar from our low-cost counselling and assessments goes directly back into the Umeed Community Care Fund.
The Umeed Community Care Fund allows us to provide subsidised sessions for individuals in our community who can’t afford therapy due to financial barriers. It also helps us create safe, inclusive spaces and programs that bring people together—because mental health support should never be limited by cost.
By choosing Umeed’s low-cost services, you’re not only accessing care for yourself—you’re helping someone else in the community access it too.
Who It’s For
Community members seeking affordable support
Families and individuals needing accessible assessments
International students who often miss out on Medicare-funded therapy
What to Expect
Low-cost and free sessions at Umeed are the same as any other therapy session—warm, confidential, and tailored to your needs. You’ll meet with a trained provisional psychologist or counsellor who is supervised by senior clinicians. Assessments are conducted with the same care, using gold-standard tools and culturally responsive practice.
Why We Do It
Because therapy and assessments shouldn’t only be for those who can afford them. Our mission is to make mental health care accessible, culturally safe, and community-driven.
✨ By choosing Umeed, you’re not just getting support—you’re helping build a community of care.
