Autism Assessment

  • A deeper understanding. A compassionate approach. A strengths-based lens.

At Umeed Psychology, we offer affirming and comprehensive autism assessments for children, teens, and adults. Whether you’ve always felt a little different, struggled to connect socially, or found comfort in structure and routine—seeking an autism diagnosis can be an empowering step toward self-understanding.

We recognise that autism presents differently across individuals, and is often missed—particularly in girls, culturally diverse communities, and those with internalised or masked traits. Our assessments are personalised, culturally responsive, and grounded in lived experience, not just checklists.

    • Sensory sensitivities and emotional regulation

    • Repetitive patterns, routines, or deep interests

    • Children showing signs of neurodivergence or social-emotional difficulties

    • Teens who are feeling overwhelmed, misunderstood, or burnt out

    • Adults who relate to autistic traits and are seeking late diagnosis

    • People who’ve been misdiagnosed, underdiagnosed, or never assessed—especially women and people from CALD communities

    • Clinical interviews and developmental history

    • Structured observational tools (e.g., MIGDAS-2, CARS-2, SRS-2)
