Academic, SLD & Cognitive Assessments

  • At Umeed Psychology, we offer comprehensive assessments to better understand how a person thinks, learns, and processes information. Whether you're concerned about your child’s school performance, navigating challenges at university, or wondering why certain tasks feel harder than they should—our assessments can help bring clarity.

    What We Assess:

    • Cognitive Functioning – including memory, attention, problem-solving, verbal reasoning, visual-spatial skills, and processing speed

    • Academic Skills – such as reading, writing, spelling, comprehension, and mathematics

    • Executive Functioning – including planning, organisation, and working memory

    • Specific Learning Disorders (SLDs) – such as dyslexia, dyscalculia, and dysgraphia

    • Children and teens struggling at school

    • University students needing academic accommodations

    • Adults who’ve always felt “smart but stuck” and are looking for answers

    • Families and educators seeking tailored learning support strategies

    • A detailed psychological report outlining strengths and challenges

    • A clear diagnosis (if applicable) aligned with DSM-5 criteria

    • Practical, culturally responsive recommendations for school, work, or home

    • Feedback sessions to ensure you feel supported and empowered moving forward

We believe that every brain learns differently—and with the right support, growth is always possible. Our assessments are not just about labels; they’re about unlocking potential.
