they/them

Counsellor (Postgraduate Counselling Student)

Sharv works with individuals and couples exploring identity, relationships, and the complex emotional aspects of migration, culture, and belonging. They offer a thoughtful, non-judgmental space where clients can reflect on difficult experiences while feeling seen, respected, and supported. Their approach is grounded in intersectionality, anti-oppressive practice, and culturally responsive counselling, with a commitment to creating affirming and inclusive therapeutic environments for people from diverse cultural, racial, gender, and sexual identities.

Sharv adopts a humanistic and person-centred approach, working collaboratively with clients to explore their experiences and find meaningful ways forward. They draw on a range of therapeutic modalities, including Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), tailoring their approach to suit each client’s individual needs.

Sharv has a strong interest in supporting clients through identity exploration, relationship issues, anxiety, migration-related stress, and experiences of marginalisation. They are particularly passionate about sex and intimacy, race-based traumatic stress, identity development, and queer-affirming care. They bring both professional training and lived experience to their work, collaborating with clients to develop emotional insight, self-compassion, and practical strategies for managing life’s challenges, all while honouring each person’s cultural and relational context.
